We love maccymoo's roadster! It literally screams at you with it's bright orange colour, but look closer and there's some ingenius modifications and subtle changes.

His extensive modifications have left this roadster looking unlike any other, the 20 coats of Ford ST orange give a depth to the paint that you could literally fall into. He's gone for some subtle engine mods and this mean tangerine machine accelerates well thanks to a digitec remap, and with it's uprated brakes, stops equally as good! No matter what angle you look at it from, it's a great looking vehicle, fully colour coding the bodywork, and painting the roof bars in silver keep the smart origins obvious, the lowrinser alloys look like they'd cut the very air it's moving through to shreds like some crazed ninja stars, the spoiler adds to the sporty looks and the custom dual exit exhaust gives the rear a subtly Brabus look.

The interior mods compliment the exterior excellently, the interior has had headrest inserts, door cards and dashboard retrim in leather, some subtle(!) colour coded (orange) door handles, key & gearknob surround, all dash pods, a racing style MDC starter button and some stock upgrades include brabus handbrake and brabus gearknob. Metal monkey heater plates, chrome knobs & stalk ends, and chrome side blower surrounds complete the orange and silver look.

This is still an unfinished project, and he has many more ideas that'll be coming soon, including heated recaro seats!

What lead up to you buying your smart?

It was kind of 3 sudden changes in one year!! I bought a ex-demonstrator Citroen C2 VTR in april 04. Then when the C2 VTS was coming out in the september 04 I pre ordered one of those. At the same time as me getting my VTS my mother and sister took delivery of their new forfour and tortwo. Thats when I first saw the roadster. I continued to drive My C2 for 6 months, then gave in, traded the C2 (and lost a fortune!!) and got a roadster. Although the C2 was a very good car I loved the smart range and after testing the roadster I couldnt see myself in anything else!!
